Nine nucleopolyhedrovirus (NPV) isolates from Japan, Vietnam, Malaysia, and India collected from diseased Spodoptera litura larvae and an Egyptian isolate of Spodoptera littoralis NPV were subjected to genetic and biological comparisons to select a candidate isolate for controlling S. litura.
