Papaya (Carica papaya L., family Caricaceae) is a major horticultural crop of tropical and subtropical regions and originated in South America. Powdery mildew symptoms were found on papaya from a nursery located in Torrox-Costa (Malaga, southern Andalusia, Spain) in January 2019.
