Rosa xanthina Lindl. is a common garden plant and widely planted in China. Symptoms of witches’ broom include shortened internodes, leaf yellowing, malformation, and dieback. Symptoms were first observed in R. xanthina plants in Tai’an city, Shandong province of China in 2010.
