Stripe rust is a major threat to wheat production globally. Breeding disease-resistant cultivars is the best way to control the disease. Chinese wheat landrace Tianzhenhong (TZH) displayed a high level of stripe rust resistance against prevalent Puccinia striiformis f. sp. tritici (Pst) races in China.
