The dominant gene Pvr7 from Capsicum chinense Jacq. ’PI159236’ confers resistance to the pepper mottle potyvirus (PepMoV) Florida (V1182) strain. This gene is tightly linked to the dominant potyvirus resistance gene Pvr4 with observed recombination frequencies of 0.012 to 0.016.
