Dendrocalamus latiflorus Munro. is a sympodial bamboo species, used for various purposes, and widely distributed in the south of China (Gao et al. 2011). In October 2018, a blight disease was discovered in a grove with around 0.07 ha composed of D. latiflorus in Zizhong County (Sichuan Province), China.
