<title>Abstract</title> <p>The emergence of infectious spleen and kidney necrosis virus (ISKNV) is a significant threat to global aquatic food security by causing large scale mortality in the aquaculture of tilapia (<italic>Oreochromis niloticus</italic>) and mandarin fish (<italic>Siniperca chuatsi</italic>).
