In Pakistan, spinach (Spinacia oleracea L.) is the most widely cultivated leafy vegetable grown on an area of 8,561 ha. In autumn 2017, leaf spot symptoms were detected on spinach (cv. Local Sindhi) in experimental fields of the University of Agriculture, Faisalabad (31°25′15.7620″ N; 73°5′21.4584″ E).
