Bidens pilosa L. (Asteraceae) is an aggressive weed in annual and perennial crops with high potential to reduce crop yields in several countries (Dias et al. 2017). It also may host pathogens such as Alternaria dauci (J.G. Kühn) J.W. Groves & Skolko (Lin et al. 2015) and Podosphaera xanthii (Castagne) U. Braun & N. Shishkoff (Cho et al. 2013).
