Mitogen activated protein (MAP) kinases are key components in signalling networks. In Fusarium graminearum, one of the most devastating fungal plant pathogens, two MAP kinases are known to be involved in pathogenicity, Mgv1 and the Gibberella pathogenicity MAP kinase Gpmk1.
