Abstract excerpt

The armyworm, Pseudaletia unipuncta, is the most important pest in Azorean pastures. Although this pest has some parasitoids and pathogens, additional biological control agents are needed to manage it. Entomopathogenic nematodes, particularly Heterorhaditis bacteriophora, are good candidates because they have been isolated from pastures and crops in almost all islands of the Azorean Archipelago.
