Pod wart disease severely damages in‐shell peanut (Arachis hypogaea L.) production in areas in which peanut is routinely rotated with potato (Solanum tuberosum L.). It is caused by soil‐borne Streptomyces that cause unsightly scabs that render the affected pods unmarketable.
