Two new genera of Laboulbeniales (Ascomycota) allied to Zodiomyces (Zodiomycetoideae) are described. These are Capillistichus with the single species C. tenellus, parasitic on Laccobius spp. (Coleoptera, Hydrophilidae), and Scepastocarpus with the single species S. peritheciiformis, parasitic on Hydrochus spp. (Coleoptera, Hydrophilidae).
