<title>Abstract</title> <p>Purpose Ocular mucous membrane pemphigoid involves chronic, relapsing-remitting, bilateral, cicatrizing conjunctivitis. Antibodies produced by activated B cells bind, in a linear fashion, to antigens on the basement membrane of the conjunctiva.
