Abstract excerpt

Tomato spotted wilt virus (TSWV) is a serious disease in tobacco (Nicotiana tabacum L.). The breeding line ‘Polalta’ contains a single dominant gene conferring resistance to TSWV that was introgressed from N. alata Link & Otto.
