<title>Abstract</title> <p>While loss-of-function (LoF) variants in <italic>KCNQ2</italic> are associated with a spectrum of neonatal-onset epilepsies, gain-of-function (GoF) variants cause a more complex phenotype that precludes neonatal-onset epilepsy.
