<h4>ABSTRACT</h4> Klebsiella pneumoniae (Kp) is of growing public health concern due to the emergence of strains that are multidrug-resistant, virulent, or both. Taxonomically, Kp includes seven phylogroups, with Kp1 ( K. pneumoniae sensu stricto ) being medically prominent.
