<title>Abstract</title> <p>Background Pheochromocytoma and paraganglioma (PPGL) are neuroendocrine tumors respectively originating from the adrenal medulla and extra-adrenal sympathetic ganglia. The coexistence of pheochromocytoma and paraganglioma is known as composite pheochromocytoma.
