White mould, stem rot, and southern blight are caused by the same soilborne fungus, Sclerotium rolfsii Sacc. and when combined with tomato spotted wilt caused by Tomato spotted wilt virus (TSWV), result in major disease problems in the cultivated peanut (Arachis hypogaea L.).
