Advanced, early-midseason breeding lines and overseas introductions of Trifolium subterraneum var. subterraneum and var. yanninicum were screened for resistance to rust (Uromyces trifolii-repentis) and cercospora (Cercospora zebrina) diseases in field 'miniswards', and their performances compared with appropiate control varieties.
