Reports of Ceratocystis spp. causing disease of exotic plantation hardwood species have increased in recent years. Ceratocystis fimbriata causes wilt and canker on Eucalyptus spp. in Africa and South America, and C. albofundus results in wilt and death of Acacia mearnsii in Africa.
