Urethral prolapse (UP) is a rare condition in which the distal urethral mucosa protrudes circularly from the external urethral meatus. Urethral prolapse is seen in two age groups: prepubertal girls and postmenopausal women. The fact that it is seen in older women shows that it may be acquired.
