Pseudomonas fluorescens strain CHA0, which suppresses various plant diseases caused by soilborne pathogens, also can restrict leaf disease. Plants of Nicotiana glutinosa and of two cultivars of N. tabacum were grown in autoclaved natural soil previously inoculated with strain CHA0.
