<title>Abstract</title> <p>Fear of stigma poses a challenge in tracking the 2022-outbreak of monkeypox virus (MPXV) infection. Patients shed MPXV via skin lesions, gastrointestinal route, and seminal fluids into the wastewater. Monitoring MPXV in wastewater can support tracking transmission.
