Castor (Ricinus communis L.) is an important oil crop (Liu et al. 2016). Fusarium root rot of castor has been observed in Zhanjiang (21.17°N, 110.18°E), China, since 2016. In this reported outbreak, about 1,800 plants in a field (0.66 ha) were affected, and the disease incidence reached 26.2%.
