<h4>Background: </h4> Trypanosomiasis is a vector-borne protozoan disease that is widespread in sub-Saharan Africa. In Nigeria, efforts to control trypanosomiasis include vector control, diagnosis, and treatment of the infection. These efforts exclude actions targeting reservoir hosts.
