'Minghui 63' is a restorer line widely used in hybrid rice production in China for the last two decades. This line and its derived hybrids, including 'Shanyou 63', are susceptible to bacterial blight (BB), caused by Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzae (Xoo).
