Alcea rosea L., also known as hollyhock, is a plant belonging to the Malvaceae family. During the late spring of 2020, symptoms of stunting, withering, and crown rot appeared on 2- to 3-month-old plants of A. rosea. The symptoms quickly evolved, causing the death of the plants in 7 days.
