<h4>Background</h4> Ketamine, and its isomer esketamine are useful for treatment resistant depression (depression not responsive to traditional antidepressants). Compared to other antidepressants, ketamine and esketamine lack a therapeutic delay and do not increase risk of suicidality in adolescents.
