Stunting caused by the Chrysanthemum stunt viroid (CSVd) is one of the most damaging diseases in cultivated chrysanthemum (Chrysanthemum morifolium). Infected seedlings of asymptomatic cultivars may spread CSVd to other susceptible cultivars in nurseries.
