The fungal pathogen Leptosphaeria maculans (LM), causing blackleg in oilseed rape (OSR), develops gene-for-gene interactions with OSR cultivars. Thus, virulent races can cause severe OSR yield losses in genotypes that depend only on the major resistance genes.
