Gummy stem blight (GSB) is a fungal disease affecting cucurbit crops, including watermelon ( Citrullus lanatus ), leading to significant yield losses. The disease is caused by three Stagonosporopsis species, of which S. citrulli is the most common in the southeastern United States.
