Tausch’s goatgrass (Aegilops tauschii), one of the diploid ancestors of wheat (Triticum aestivum), is an annual or perennial grass weed. Crown rot was found on the weed A. tauschii in nine diseased wheat fields during 2016 to 2017 in the North China Plain, with an average disease incidence of 6%.
