<h4>ABSTRACT</h4> We report an exponential rise in dermatophyte infections belonging to the Trichophyton interdigitale/mentagrophytes species complex ( TiTm SC), including the recently speciated T. indotineae ( Ti , formerly T. mentagrophytes genotype VIII), in New York City and surrounding counties.
