<h4>Background: </h4> Vacuoles, E1 enzyme, X-linked, autoinflammatory, somatic (VEXAS) syndrome is caused by mutations in the ubiquitin-activating enzyme 1 ( UBA1) gene and is characterised by the overlap of multiple autoinflammatory and haematologic disorders.
