Two infectious diseases that cause most yield losses in soybean [Glycine max (L.) Merr.] are soybean cyst nematode (SCN), caused by Heterodera glycines Ichinohe, and sudden death syndrome (SDS), caused by Fusarium solani (Mart.) Sacc. f. sp. glycines (Fsg).
