Eutypa dieback and Esca are serious grapevine trunk diseases (GTDs) caused by fungal consortia causing large economic losses in vineyards. Depending on the disease the species involved include Eutypa lata , Phaeoacremonium minimum , and Phaeomoniella chlamydospora .
