Cecropin A gene was cloned into the expression vector pPIC9k and was successfully expressed in methylotrophic yeast, Pichia pastoris GS115. The yeast had effective antimicrobial activity on Geotrichum citri-aurantii spores by the thiazolyl blue (MTT) assay.
