Colletotrichum sublineola (Cs) is a hemibiotrophic fungal pathogen that causes anthracnose in Sorghum bicolor , leading to significant yield losses. To enable infection, Cs secretes effectors - proteins, small RNAs, and metabolites - that damage the plant cell wall or enter the plant cell to suppress immune responses and manipulate host metabolism.
