<h4>ABSTRACT</h4> <h4>Introduction</h4> The Omicron BA.1/BA.2 wave in South Africa had lower hospitalisation and mortality than previous SARS-CoV-2 variants and was followed by an Omicron BA.4/BA.5 wave.
