<h4>ABSTRACT</h4> <h4>Background</h4> Hashimoto’s thyroiditis (HT) involves the autoimmune destruction of thyrocytes with the presence of anti-thyroid peroxidase (TPO) and/or anti-thyroglobulin (TG) antibodies.
