<title>Abstract</title> <p> <bold>Background:</bold> Neutropenia (absolute neutrophil count [ANC] <1,500 cells/μL) greatly increases the risk of bacteremia. Documented mortality in neutropenic bacteremia (NB) exceeds 58%.
