<title>Abstract</title> <p> Tan spot, caused by the fungus <italic>Pyrenophora tritici-repentis</italic> ( <italic>Ptr</italic> ), is one of the major diseases of spring wheat ( <italic>Triticum aestivum</italic> L.) in the Nordic countries.
