In September of 2015, leaf spot disease was observed on maize (Zea mays L.) cultivar Yundan 10 in Baoxiong farm of QuJing City of Yunnan province in China. Early symptoms on leaves were small (1- to 2-mm) water-soaked and translucent circular to oval spots that later enlarged, with the centers turning pale. Spots were elliptical with a chlorotic halo.
