Phosphopyruvate hydratase (enolase) is a housekeeping gene for energy production in many eukaryotes. The 1914-base pair (bp) cDNA sequence of phosphopyruvate hydratase was obtained from the muscles of Marsupenaeus japonicus using RT-PCR and RACE.
