<h4>Background: </h4> Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is a hematological malignancy with a low remission rate and a high recurrence rate. The 5-year overall survival rate is only approximately 25%. The overexpression of the antiapoptotic protein Bcl-2 is associated with a lower overall survival rate in AML patients.
