Xenorhabdus is an entomopathogenic bacterium involved in a mutualistic relationship with Steinernema nematodes. Xenorhabdus produces a multitude of specialized metabolites by Non-Ribosomal Peptide Synthetases (NRPSs) pathways to mediate bacterial–nematode– insect interactions.
