Fusarium wilt, caused by the soil‐borne fungus Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. vasinfectum (FOV) race 4 (FOV4), is one of the most destructive diseases in cotton (Gossypium spp.) in the southwestern and western Cotton Belt.
