A mist generator controlled by a datalogger was constructed to study shothole disease of almond trees, caused by Wilsonomyces carpophilus (Stigmina carpophila). The system wetted leaf surfaces on selected shoots and recorded temperature, leaf wetness, relative humidity, rain, wind speed, and wind direction.
