Laccases often are present in plant tissues colonized by fungal pathogens. Non-denaturing gel electrophoresis revealed laccase isozymes in extracts of wheat leaf sheaths infected by Fusarium proliferatum (Fp). No laccase isozymes were detected in extracts of healthy wheat.
